A shop on 11th Avenue.
Streamline Plumbing & Heating works out of 589 11th Ave, between 43rd and 44th, on the block where Hell's Kitchen runs into the Hudson Yards construction line. It is an unglamorous stretch of Manhattan and a very good place to keep a plumbing van: Midtown in five minutes, the Lincoln Tunnel in two, and the whole West Side inside a radius you can actually service.
01 / ORIGIN
Who we are
Licensed work, done the long way round.
New York makes plumbing hard on purpose. The Plumbing Code is strict, the Department of Buildings is exacting, and every co-op board in the city has its own alteration agreement. Most of what goes wrong on a job here is not technical — it is a permit that was never pulled, a certificate of insurance that never arrived, or a sign-off nobody closed out.
We built the business around that. The licence is real and it is ours. The permits are filed in-house, not handed to an expediter. The insurance certificates go out the same day the building asks for them. And the price you are quoted is the price on the invoice, because it was agreed as a flat rate before anyone opened a wall.
The result is unglamorous and deliberate: fewer surprises, fewer callbacks, and a paper trail that still makes sense two years later when the building refinances.
02 / CREDENTIALS
On the record
Licensed, insured, accountable.
Every licence and insurance certificate is available on request, before you book. A contractor who hesitates when asked for those is telling you something.
